Part 1 I am constantly evaluating. I don't call it evaluation, and I don't write about it the same way. I do it in pockets of time that I can get outside of my practical obligations. I explore; where do I want to go next? Where does this take me? What do I feel about it? Where do I want to go next? And what do I want to inquire about that place that I haven't already? How do I create the conditions to get the support to do that? The reflections stay in my heart and mind To an extent, I make notes, I write It comes out in the form of talks and presentations Each of these talks becomes a way to further reflect on the work And frame it in a way that is indicative of the point I am in Some of it stays in conversations I also value visual memory. I have always been taking pictures of all the events It helps to build a shared memory And that's sometimes important, it helps me to look back and be self-critical. Connections are happening in people's minds. I sense it through social media, visitors who share the work, and the questions I get asked. Other times, I recognize that audiences would find something moving or fascinating. There are many different contexts in which the work has the potential to live. That potential is an indicator of success. In a way, I am overlaying certain aspects of reality In some places, they fit And in other areas, they rub against each other In such an uncomfortable way that makes everyone go "We can't get together; leave us alone." That friction is also to be evaluated It's exciting what happens there How does it happen? Why does it happen? Why do people scare away from each other, And what are the misunderstandings? Maybe it is the question: how could I fit in? Which should structure the evaluation. Making sure that, in the end, I have an analysis of where the frictions are, Where the good fits are And where the mutual benefits would be So I know where patterns occur, where I can fit And where I would be helpful as a mediator Part 2 Before interdisciplinarity started coming around Everyone was very narrowly focused on their professions Now, there are various profiles of youngsters who know about many disciplines And their mindsets are becoming non-disciplinary First, the word transdisciplinary was used, But this is an entirely new, non-disciplinary approach. When specific points of view or characteristics do not limit those youngsters They see a project and have ten different points of view in one person. It almost becomes natural. How did I become aware of that? I'm in constant contact with them. I am their discursive partner and producer. I am always part of the collaborative process. I'm living in a completely different environment than before With totally different dynamics, conversations, approaches, and mindsets.
